How we use your information
Personal information you provide is used to:
- Match your mortgage situation to suitable BC lender programs
- Connect you with a BCFSA-licensed mortgage professional who specializes in your situation
- Follow up with you about your inquiry by phone, email, or text
- Provide you with educational information about BC mortgage options
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. The only third party who receives your information is the BCFSA-licensed mortgage professional we connect you with — and only with your consent (which is implied when you submit the qualifier form, since the purpose of submitting is to be connected).
How we store and protect your information
Form submissions are received and stored through Netlify Forms, an industry-standard hosted form service. Information is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit). We retain your information only as long as needed to provide the services you've requested or as required by law (typically 2 years for inquiry records, longer if a mortgage transaction proceeds).
Your rights under PIPEDA and BC PIPA
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent for further use of your information (subject to legal and contractual restrictions)
- File a complaint with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca)
